Cooling & Heating Systems

    Rooftop Systems

An all-in-one system heats and/or cools just like an indoor/outdoor system—but comes in a single cabinet that can be installed outdoors at ground level or sometimes on your roof.

    Heat Pumps

A heat pump does the job of an air conditioner and a furnace. But unlike a furnace, it doesn't burn fuel to create heat. It uses electricity to keep your home warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and comfortable all year round.

    Air conditioners

For residential homes, the US has set minimum requirements for energy efficiency. The efficiency of air conditioners is rated by the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER). The higher the SEER rating, the more energy efficient is the air conditioner. The SEER rating is the BTU of cooling output during its normal annual usage divided by the total electric energy input in watt-hours (W·h) during the same period. [3]

    Furnaces

Modern household furnaces are classified as condensing or non-condensing based on their efficiency in extracting heat from the exhaust gases. Furnaces with efficiencies greater than approximately 89% extract so much heat from the exhaust that water vapor in the exhaust condenses; they are referred to as condensing furnaces. Such furnaces must be designed to avoid the corrosion that this highly acidic condensate might cause and may need to include a condensate pump to remove the accumulated water. Condensing furnaces can typically deliver heating savings of 20%-35% assuming the old furnace was in the 60% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) range.

    Ductless split systems

This category of equipment is ideal for smaller spaces where spot cooling is required. Several models in this category are Energy Star Certified, meaning they save you money on your utility bill. Residential applications including sunrooms and additions are made easier with these air conditioners and heat pumps.

Precision Temperature Controls

    Aprilaire Communicating Thermostats

Air Cleaning and Purification

    Aprilaire 5000

-Traps 99% of airborne pollen, mold and spore-sized particles
-Eliminates 98% of airborne bacteria-sized particles
-Removes 94% of respirable dust, dust which the EPA reports can trigger asthma
-Captures 80% of airborne particles the size of tobacco smoke
-Removes up to 80% of airborne virus-sized particles
-Easy to maintain—the 5000 requires infrequent replacement of filtering media and wiping down of ionizing wires
-There is never a need for the frequent and time-consuming cleaning or washing of collector cells

    American Standard Accuclean

-Removes over 99% of the common flu, or influenza A virus, from the filtered air in your home.
-Removes up to 99.98% of allergens from filtered air
-Catches particles even smaller than .1 micron in size
-8 times more effective than the best HEPA room appliance
-100 times more effective than a standard 1" throwaway filter or ionic-type room appliance
-Delivers cleaner air, and more of it
-Reusable filter is easy to vacuum or wash

    Micropower Guard

The MicroPower Guard® uses an active electromagnetic field to magnetize both airborne particles and the fibers of the disposable filter pad. This creates a virtual "force field" within the ductwork, capturing many of the smallest, most dangerous to breathe submicron airborne particles. When the air is recycled through the MicroPower Guard in your ductwork, this air cleaner will remove 97% of particles at .3 microns.

    Extended Media Filters

Extended media filters are filters that are plumbed into the ductwork itself. They provide an increased level of filtration from that of a standard pleated filter. They also do not need to be replaced as often (can last up to a year).
