How to Choose the Best Las Vegas AC Repair Company in Town

As with any appliance or electronic, air conditioning units are not immune to the wear and tear of time and are bound to malfunction sooner or later. Fortunately, Las Vegas AC repair technicians are a phone call away to help you with your individual project and comply with your needs and demands for air conditioning repair and maintenance.
Since air conditioners keep the environment more comfortable to live in throughout the extreme temperatures of spring, summer, fall, and winter, your choice will mean the difference between a high quality of life in Vegas or being miserable.
Living in Las Vegas can be quite difficult, considering the arid and hot climate that frequently occurs a majority of the year. Without a reliable HVAC unit, it may be more difficult to survive these periods of time.
Aside from its heating and cooling capabilities, HVAC units also have health benefits, particularly the air purification that filters fungus, mites, smoke particles, allergens and odors. This makes the air within the environment cleaner and fresher to breathe.
Finding an HVAC Repair Company
Las Vegas AC repair companies can help you repair your air conditioning unit to ensure that you are kept cool whenever needed and warm during those cold winter nights.
So which provider should you choose for heating and air conditioning Las Vegas repairs? There are certain aspects you may want to look into before hiring any one of the many companies available. Here are some tips to get you on track of searching for air condition repair service providers.
8 Tips for Choosing Your Las Vegas AC Repair Technician
- One of the most ideal ways of looking for air conditioning companies is to browse through the Internet rather than use your phone book directory. Online searches tend to be faster and more convenient when looking for just about anything these days.
- Check to make sure that your company is both licensed and certified. The NATE certification is pretty standard if you are a long-standing company with a good reputation. NATE certification tells you that your company constantly endeavors to learn more and improve their employee’s education.
- Also, do they belong to the BBB? Do they have any complaints?
- When choosing a company, never opt for the first company you see. Make sure to maximize all the options that are given to you.
- One criterion to use when comparing companies is their reputation. Is the company reputable in terms of heating and air conditioning Las Vegas services? To evaluate this, look for customer reviews, ratings and reports left by previous clients. This will give you a clearer and unbiased understanding of the company’s background.
- In this case, a reputable air conditioning repair company is easy to find. Take the time to look at the company’s reviews on reliable pages such as Google Places, Yelp, and Yahoo! Local Listings.
- Alongside reputation, experience is a key factor. How many years has the company been working in this respective field of service? Companies with years of experience can definitely provide a much better service than those that have been around the market for a few months or so.
- Another criterion to look for is the rates provided. Most clients will often prioritize cost from quality and the other contributing factors when looking for AC repair Las Vegas offers. Though there is nothing wrong with being thrifty and money-wise, it should coexist with quality.
Let’s Get Started with Your AC Repair Las Vegas
Using the Internet, you’ll have a variety of options at your fingertips. The company’s details should be easily displayed instead of wasting hours and hours of research through the Yellow Pages, calling one phone number after the next. If the company seems vague or too-good-to-be true, be wary.
Choose companies that provide well-experienced workers and technicians but also give reasonable and honest quotes for their services. There isn’t much use in employing a company with the cheapest rates imaginable that also provides cheap quality repair services.
We hope these ac repair tips will help you in your choice for continuous maintenance and long life of your heating and air conditioning units.
5 Things to Help You Get Through Winter from Your Las Vegas Heating Experts
1 Jan 2012 | No Comments | posted by Matt Ballard | in Las Vegas Air Conditioning
Let’s take a break from talking about Las Vegas heating and air conditioning issues and take a moment to enjoy winter. I have always loved the winter season. Whether it’s time to get out the snowboard and have some fun at Mount Charleston or just take a moment to sit back and relax and reflect on how we spend the little moments of our time.
So, the first cold days of winter have long-since arrived in Las Vegas, but there is no need to panic or trudge through the winter season. After you get the extra blankets unpacked and the tea kettle on, wait just a second before you turn that thermostat up to 80 degrees and try some of these things to stay warm.
Dress for Winter
One of the things about living in a culture that depends on climate control is that you can never tell what you should wear to stay comfortable. Have you ever been in a hotel that is so warm that you wished you had worn a tank top and it’s the middle of winter?
This one’s not hard. Just dress yourself in layers.
Time to Cook Some Comfort Foods
This is the perfect time to drink plenty of hot beverages and eat lots of warm foods. Get out the Crockpot and have some chili or stew waiting for you when you get home from work. Don’t be afraid to turn the oven on and do some baking and roasting. It will keep the house warm, too.
Exercise!
It seems like the answer to anything is exercising, and for a good reason. Getting your blood circulating and your heart pumping warms your body from the inside.
Close Off Rooms You Don’t Use
You can cut off the air flow to rooms that you don’t use and save energy. It’s also true that turning down the heat when gone for extended periods of time will save on your utility bill.
Let Your Body Adapt
Your body is made so that it can adapt to all sorts of climates and conditions. Stay active and social. Don’t lock yourself away and sit underneath the blankets all season. Drink lots of water, get some sunshine, and take your vitamins.
Remember that at one time civilization survived without forced heat (I’m not sure how…), and surviving a brutal winter doesn’t have to be painstaking. Enjoy your winter holiday and think about these tips before you turn up the heating in Las Vegas.
Let the Las Vegas Heating and Air Conditioning Experts Help You Prevent Heating Repairs this Winter

Usually, the most common Las Vegas heating and air conditioning questions that I get have to do with a heating repair or an ac repair—and the information was needed, well, yesterday… So this winter, let’s take a step forward in preventive care of your HVAC unit before it turns into an emergency.
If the weather last week is any indication of what is to come, we need to get our heaters in tip-top shape. Granted, Sahara Air prides itself on their remarkable 24 hour emergency HVAC repair service, and rarely does anyone have to wait long to see one of our vans pull up, but wouldn’t you rather not go through the midnight call on Christmas because your heater went down? I know I would.
Honestly, most of the emergency calls that I get could have been prevented with routine maintenance of the heating and cooling system. That’s why we offer a low-cost maintenance program for any of the units that we install.
Here are some of the things that the Club Membership includes:
- 2 maintenance checks per year
- 30 point inspection
- 20% off any repairs
- Priority service
It’s worth it.
Living in Las Vegas is Extreme
Let’s face it; if Vegas is going to do it, they are going to do it with panache and take it to the limit. Just look at our casinos, our grocery stores, and even our parking lots. The HVAC systems in your home aren’t much different.
Many of our residents have two units in their home, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. Or better yet, state of the art air quality control and filters. But this isn’t due to Sin City’s decadent lifestyle. It’s out of necessity.
Our temperatures go from one extreme to another. We have scorching summers that stay over 100 degrees for several days and wind-whipping winters that will chill you to the bone. Keep in mind that the average person wants the temperature in their home to be between 68 and 74 degrees. We demand a lot from our HVAC units.
How You Can Prevent a Las Vegas Heating Repair
I already mentioned our maintenance program. It will definitely extend the life of your HVAC system, but you can do a few things at home that will help, too. You’ll also notice it in your pocketbook. The less efficient your heater and air conditioner are, the more you can expect your utility bill to be.
- Change your air filter regularly, so you don’t inhibit air flow and make your unit work even harder.
- Look outside at your condenser unit and make sure that you don’t have weeds or debris near it.
- Have a professional do a maintenance check in the spring and in the fall and make sure you don’t need the coils cleaned, a better filter or more refrigerant.
Now if you think that you need a heating repair before winter sets in, there are a couple of things to check. This one seems obvious, but make sure that your circuit breaker didn’t get tripped. If you reset it and it happens again, give us a call.
As the holidays approach, don’t neglect your most basic comfort in your home. Give your local Las Vegas heating and air conditioning expert a call if you have any questions. We’re happy to help.
